‘Police kit used in robbery’

2010-09-02 00:00

AN administrative employee with the SA Police force in Port Shepstone appeared in court on Monday accused of corruption, fraud, impersonating a police officer, illegal possession of ammunition and unauthorised possession of police equipment.

Anandhan Moodley, who is stationed at Port Shepstone SAPF supply management, allegedly used a police blue light on his private vehicle, after removing the registration plates, to pull off drivers in Paddock for “reckless and negligent driving” before taking money from them.

Detective Warrant Officer Sydney Stamer has asked that anyone who has been robbed in a similar fashion should contact him at 039 688 2300 during office hours.
