LADYSMITH police are looking for Faizel Drew, who they believe can help them solve the murder of Uraj “Joe” Ahir.

Ahir’s body was discovered at his home in Oswald Rapson Road, Ladysmith on April 7.

According to police spokesperson Colonel Jay Naicker, a post mortem found he had probably been assaulted.

“A case of murder was opened at Ladysmith and an investigation into his death began,” said Naicker. Two men were arrested on May 26.

Drew was last seen with a long beard and a shaved head. He is known to frequent Estcourt, Ladysmith, Durban, Pietermaritzburg and Johannesburg. Anyone who can assist police in tracing the whereabouts of Drew should contact the investigating officer, Sergeant Dave Warmenhoven, at 036 638 3415 or 083 340 0875 or Crimestop: 08600 10111.
