Power: Keyser family’s water shocks fixed

2012-04-10 00:00

THE Keyser family enjoyed a weekend of water without the shock and with reliable electricity. This after coming home from holiday a week ago to unstable electric currents flowing through their home, near World’s View.

Their 12-year-old daughter, Anna, was literally given a nasty shock when she turned on a tap as she prepared to brush her teeth.

Her mother, Laurie, felt the volts too, but only after removing her rubber-soled shoes.

She contacted The Witness to report that her desperate appeals to the municipality were falling on deaf ears.

But that was last Monday — the day municipal electricians protested. An article about the family’ electricity woes appeared the next day.

By Thursday, the municipality had sorted out their power.

“Easter Weekend was normal and we’re all fine,” Laurie said.
