THE winner of the R2,1 million national Lotto jackpot is from KwaZulu-Natal, Thembi Tulwana, a spokeswoman for National Lottery operator Gidani said in a statement yesterday.

The National Lottery also produced a multi-millionaire in its new PowerBall game. According to Tulwana, the PowerBall player is from the Limpopo province and is R30 million richer.

PowerBall was launched for the first time in South Africa earlier this month with the first draw on Friday, October 23.

PowerBall draws are always on Tuesdays and Fridays and Lotto draws continue to be on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

“The National Lottery has posted a guaranteed PowerBall jackpot of R10 million for tomorrow’s draw and the tickets price is the same as that of Lotto at R3,50,” said Tulwana.
