A leading provider of occupational risk management solutions has returned to the KwaZulu-Natal midlands to set up an office in Pietermaritzburg following an eight-year absence.

Nosa, the well-known subsidiary of JSE listed MICROmega Holdings Limited, officially launched their new branch in the city on Friday.

Nosa MD, Duncan Carlisle, told The Witness that he is highly optimistic about the company’s return to the city.

He said that they aim to grow their solid client base by exploring opportunities within the public sector, given the fact that the city is the provincial capital.

The company has three focus areas, namely auditing and certification, consulting and training.

Carlisle said that ISO Certification represents a key opportunity for Nosa, because this certification is a critical element of any company’s hopes of exporting goods.

“The ISO Certification side of the business offers opportunities, particularly in terms of quality management and environmental management. The growth of industry in Pietermaritzburg has been tremendous and there are huge opportunities for us.”

The company has 18 offices across southern Africa and is reputed to be the largest provider of occupational risk management services in Africa.
