R&N Forklifts celebrates 10 years

THIS year, R & N Forklifts celebrates its 10th anniversary. The company sells forklift spares and carries out servicing and repairs to customers’ forklifts, either at the customer’s premises or, when major repairs are needed, at R & N Forklift’s workshop at 3B Birmingham Industrial Park in Willowton.

The company carries out work on TCM, Hyster, Mitsubishi, Toyota­ and many other makes of forklifts.

In 2008, R & N Forklifts opened a forklift hire service as an added service, and can hire a replacement forklift to customers while their forklift is being repaired. Forklifts are also hired out to companies on a long or short- term basis, by the hour or monthly.

R & N Forklifts boasts fast turnaround times, says company owner Jay Govender. The company uses use two fully equipped service vehicles to carry out most repairs in the fastest possible time at the site of the breakdown. Its supplier can source spares within three days even if the specific part is not available in South Africa.

The company’s two technicians, who have almost 25 years experience between them, are very skilled and can work on diesel, petrol and LP-gas-operated forklifts.

“We are very competitively priced,” says Govender, “especially on our labour rate.”

“We charge almost half what our competitors do.”

The company sells refurbished forklifts that have been rebuilt at their workshops, and has a range on offer at very competitive prices­.
