Rape probe: have you seen this man?

2012-09-28 00:00

POLICE are looking for a man in connection with the rape of a 24-year-old woman from the Brighton Beach area.

Police spokesperson Captain Thulani Zwane said that in December last year, a woman was walking along Wentworth Road in Bluff in the Brighton Beach area when she was allegedly offered a lift by an unknown man.

“The suspect allegedly drove to a secluded area, Bayview grounds in Bluff, and raped her. A case of rape was opened at Brighton Beach police station and the victim managed to give a description of the suspect as per attached identikit.”

Zwane said that anyone with information on the man’s whereabouts should call Warrant Officer Andre Solomon at Brighton Beach Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit at 031 203 7334 or 074 453 7052, or to Crime Stop anonymously at 086 001 0111. — Witness Reporter.
