Red alert: Roses on sale to help fight Cancer

2011-10-21 00:00

Cansa staff Rose Madonsela (left) and Sthabile Nyokana go red in aid of breast cancer awareness month. The Cancer Association of South Africa is appealing to corporates, schools and individuals to support its fundraising efforts. Treat yourself or a loved one, or your boss, secretary or a friend to a bunch of roses wrapped in an attractive gift sleeve. The roses will be sold for R10 each from October 24 to 28 and all proceeds go to Cansa. The association depends on volunteer support, and asks that orders of fewer than 50 roses be collected from its offices, 10 Killarney Terrace, off Loop Street, between 10 am and 3 pm. For more information call Sthabile or Rose at 033 342 98 37 or e-mail
