Renegades down Dons in T20 clash

VARSITY Cricket Club’s Big Bash T20 competition saw the second batch of fixtures played at the weekend.

The 10 teams are divided into two groups and while Group A has Varsity Renegades and Blazing Eagles leading the pack with nine points apiece, Group B is somewhat lopsided as Varsity Scorchers dominate with 13 points from their three fixtures.

The game of the weekend was Renegades against the Dons, Renegades romping home by 110 runs, thanks to Mathew Jeary’s 92 from 51 balls, the batting highlight of round two.
