Return of ‘Tokoloshe’

2010-03-09 00:00

HILTON College Theatre hosts one performance of Tokoloshe Come Again! the follow-up to Neon Anthems’ popular Tokoloshe Come and Go!

The show, which combines the talents of Jacobus van Heerden and Liam Magner, will have you rolling in the aisles.

Briefly, Tokoloshe Come Again! follows the life of Moses, a little orphan boy, as he struggles to gain recognition in the world.

I saw the show at the National Arts Festival in Grahamstown last year and the pair’s whacky brand of African storytelling was a riot. The action is fast-paced, unpredictable and very, very funny. And be warned — Magner (who recently played the role of Sanchez in Man of La Mancha at the Catalina Theatre) and Van Heerden just love audience participation.

Tokoloshe Come Again! is at Hilton College Theatre on March 12 at 7.30 pm. Tickets are R70. Book by phoning 033 383 0126 or e-mail
