A SCHOOL boy stumbled upon the body of a 27-year-old man on his way to school in Phateni, Richmond, on Monday morning.

Police spokeswoman Inspector Joey Jeevan said Lindelani Sithole had multiple stab wounds and a graze on his back.

The schoolboy informed the chief of the area about the dead man, and he contacted the police.

Sithole was last seen by his mother on Sunday afternoon at about 6 pm when he left home to meet friends at a local tavern.

The motive for the killing is not known and arrests have not been made.

Police appeal to anyone with information to contact the investigating officer, Constable Bigboy Kunene, of Richmond detective services, at 033 212 9459 or 082 459 6266.
