Rivlife: 700 women attend

2008-10-26 00:00

MORE than 700 women from different parts of South Africa filled the River of Life Church in Pietermaritzburg on Saturday to attend the Teleios Women’s Conference.

The conference was aimed at empowering women to bring reformation to the church and society “through the implementation of dynamic Bible truth”.

Senior pastor Thamo Naidoo said that women are still unable to take their rightful places in society even though they have a powerful role to play in the world.

“The place and function of women for centuries have been prejudiced against by a male dominated society, and the church has largely been guilty of entrenching the culture of male-dominated structures. With the advent of the Apostolic season and its emphasis on the need for a reformation has emerged a need to address all inaccuracies in the church,” said Naidoo.
