She said 350 cars were stopped at the road block on the R620, with officials issuing notices for 68 traffic offences. Two warrants of arrest were issued and one driver had his licence suspended.

In Pietermaritzburg yesterday, a road block was held on the M70. Traffic police issued notices for 32 traffic offences and six warrants were issued at the road block. Other areas could not conduct road blocks yesterday due to unfavourable weather conditions. The RTI said operations will continue throughout the long weekend.
