Rugby tickets for paddlers

EVERY paddler who entered the 2014 Dusi Canoe Marathon has received two tickets to watch the Sharks tackle the Bulls in their Super Rugby encounter at King’s Park on Saturday.

The Dusi starts this morning at Camps Drift in Pietermaritzburg, and finishes at Blue Lagoon in Durban on Saturday.

Dusi organiser Brett Austen-Smith told The Witness everything was going well, and he was looking forward to watching the events unfold along the river in this the 63rd race.

“The municipality has also been working hard in ensuring that the banks of the river are in a good state,” he said.

Following the rugby game on Saturday, the post-race celebrations will move to the Riverside Hotel where the “after-party of all after-parties” will run from 9 pm until the early hours of Sunday morning.
