Safe City thanks Witness publications

Safe City (PMB), yesterday presented The Natal Witness Printing and Publishing Company with certificates of appreciation. Peter Warmington, chair of of the organisation, expressed his thanks for the publicity provided by The Witness, Weekend Witness, Mirror, Echo, My Week magazine and The Witness website.

Seen receiving the certificates is CEO Stuart Craib, flanked by Nutan Bhika of Safe City (left), Peter Warmington and SAPS director of Crime Prevention, Parvathi Bhika.

In partnership with the municipality and Business Fighting Crime, Safe City operates a network of central city cameras and a control room by which city centre activities are monitored around the clock. Members of the public are also able to help in preventing crime by SMSing details of suspicious activities to 083 767 7233 (083 SMSSAFE) for immediate follow-up.
