Scarra keen to face Griquas

CAPE TOWN — Western Province hooker Scarra Ntubeni is fit and raring to go ahead of their Currie Cup encounter against Griquas at Newlands on Saturday.

Ntubeni made his return from injury last week when he replaced Stephan Coetzee in their 35-33 loss to the Golden Lions in Johannesburg. Coetzee injured his ankle in the clash at Ellis Park and was given until today to prove his fitness ahead of the team’s announcement.

This could pave the way for Ntubeni to start against the men from Kimberley.

Ntubeni said yesterday: “The result aside, it was great being out there again.” Kick-off on Saturday is at 3 pm.
