FOUR rounds of trials on various golf courses over three months resulted in the KZN schools’ golf team being selected. In addition, a B team was also selected to give boys who did not make the A side some recognition.

There were boys who were not selected as they did not play the full four rounds.

The A team will compete in Potchefstroom at the end of the month against teams from around the country in the schools’ interprovincial tournament.

The eight boys in the A side are the best in their schools and only when looking at the B team is there a doubling up from individual schools.

Only Westville and Maritzburg College have three players in the top 16 in the province, with Hilton, Kearsney and Michaelhouse having two players in this group.
