Sharks: Daniel and Michalak on injury list

2011-07-20 00:00

KEY Sharks players, captain Keegan Daniel and French flyhalf Frederic Michalak, are nursing injuries, but coach John Plumtree is confident they will be fit to face the Pumas in the Currie Cup match in Nelspruit on Friday night, reports JOHN BISHOP.

The pair played pivotal roles in the Sharks’ weekend win over the Blue Bulls, but picked up injuries and have missed training this week.

The injury niggles stem from a very physical encounter against the Bulls that saw the Sharks make 200 tackles

Plumtree said yesterday, that prop Eugene van Staden (hamstring) would be monitored during the week.

Friday’s match kicks off at 7 pm with Mark Lawrence the referee. The game will not be televised.
