Sharks cocktails

2010-10-30 00:00

LOVE and marriage. Peanut butter and jam. Alcohol and rugby — things that are so much better together.

And so, knowing Sharks fans would need a good drink, the team at Cafe Vacca Matta at Pietermaritzburg’s Golden Horse Casino came up with Sharks-inspired drinks.

The Shark Bite — a black and white cocktail with a dangerous red bottom — was created by head barman Jermaine Naidoo. “We’ve used piña colada mix, sambuca and Ramazotti black to create the black and white cocktail,” he said. “The red at the bottom — the blood from a shark bite — is red Zappa,” he explained.

Or try the Drop Kick, which is a double shot — one white shot of Malibu, Bols Triple Sec, a shot of Ramazotti black and a mystery ingredient.

Between 8 pm and 10 pm tonight you can buy one Shark Bite and get another free.
