Sharks fans expected to flood Ellis Park for Currie Cup final

OFFICIALS of the Golden Lions Rugby Union (GLRU) are expecting a massive “Black and White” contingent at Saturday’s Currie Cup final.

GLRU commercial director Andre Homan told The Witness that the KZN Rugby Union (KZNRU) has paid for an additional 1 000 tickets over and above the 200 tickets each union is allocated. KZNRU officials confirmed this.

Homan said that if the KZNRU needs more tickets then more will be made available.

“In addition, there is a huge Sharks fan base living in Johannesburg who always come out in numbers. Ticket sales are racing with the bulk of demand coming from KZN,” said Homan.
