Sharks start with four home games

2013-10-08 00:00

THE Super Rugby draw for 2014 was released yesterday and the Sharks will start with four successive home games.

The Sharks meet the Bulls at King’s Park on February 15 and the Hurricanes a week later before their early bye in round three. They will play nine matches on South African soil before leaving on the most taxing of Australasian tours at the end of April. Here, they will open against the Rebels. Then they will take on the Brumbies, Crusaders and Blues.

Their final three games on home soil include games against the Stormers.

The two teams they will not face during the 16 league games are the title-holding Chiefs and the Western Force.

Super Rugby will stretch from February 15 to the play-offs in late July, with the final on August 2.
