Shooting: Woman arrested, police boyfriend in hospital

2013-01-15 00:00

A WOMAN was arrested in Caluza on Sunday for the alleged shooting and attempted murder of her police boyfriend.

Spokesperson Lieutenant Joey Jeevan said Sergeant Sibusiso Dlamini (33) was at home with his girlfriend, Ayanda Mbuyaza, when the mother of his child came to the house after the couple had arranged to go shopping for their child.

“It is alleged that the enraged suspect picked up Dlamini’s official 9 mm pistol off the bed … then fired three shots, hitting Dlamini once in the stomach,” Jeevan said.

He was taken to hospital and is believed to be in a stable condition.

Mbuyaza (29) appeared in court yesterday.
