Show: giant french puppets

French puppet group Les Grandes Personnes (the Big People), which uses twice-life-size figures, will present its show A la corde at 6.30 pm on Tuesday at the Alliance Francaise (corner of Sutton Crescent and Windermere Road, Durban).

The show draws the audience into the imaginative world of a little boy called Odilon. Spectators take part using their hands and voices, repeating sentences and passing sculptures around.

The group have been leading an artistic residency in Orange Farm, Soweto, where they created a family of giant puppets.

Les Grandes Personnes was formed in 1998 and have taken part in festivals and parades in France and abroad. Admission to the show is free, but booking is required on 031 312 9582 or
