SIX men have been arrested after police swooped down on a house in the Louisiana area near Port Shepstone on Sunday and recovered stolen goods and unlicensed ammunition.

Detective Sergeant “BP” Cele from Southport SA Police Service and Sergeant Thabane Mofokeng from the Port Shepstone K9 unit were following up information which led them to the house where they arrested the men, aged between 19 and 28.

They were caught with several rounds of 9 mm ammunition, a small safe, two small jewellery boxes, several coins, an air gun, a shoulder bag, a pocket knife and a car radio.

The six were charged with possession of unlicensed ammunition and suspected stolen property and will appear in the Port Shepstone court soon.

The police are investigating where the items were stolen from, but anyone with information about the goods can contact Captain Gert Bosman on 039 688 1179.
