2012-10-11 00:00

INKATHA Freedom Party councillor Themba Xulu will be buried on Sunday, according to the party’s spokesperson Albert Mncwango.

Xulu, who was from KwaMashu, was kidnapped from a hostel in the area by armed men posing as police officers on Friday. His body was discovered in a sugar cane field near Inanda Tea Estate on Sunday.

Xulu’s murder followed the recent killings of the son of the NFP leader at the hostel and two other NFP members in the area.

Mncwango said both Xulu’s memorial and funeral services will be held this week.

The memorial service will be held today at the Rotary Stadium, KwaMashu, at 10 am, while the funeral will be on Sunday in Mtunzini starting at 9 am.
