Snap happy: Prizes for young photographers

THE Midlands is producing the best young photographers in the country with The Wykeham Collegiate (TWC) winning the national award for top school and a Hilton College pupil taking the individual prize.

The recent National Schools Photographic Exhibition, organised and sponsored by FujiFilm Southern Africa, was open to all South African schools.

TWC, with the most entries and with two pupils in the top three, was placed first nationally.

Julie Oti (Grade 11) was second in the digital manipulation section and Grade 12 pupil Hannah Bray was third in the colour category.

Hilton College Grade 11 pupil Sebastian Negri was first in the digital manipulation section.

TWC, as the winning school, and the three successful pupils, Oti, Bray and Negri, were presented with the latest Fuji digital cameras by the competition sponsors. — Witness Reporter.
