‘Social media queen’ Bonang Matheba joins ‘Top Billing’

2012-12-07 00:00

SOUTH Africa’s “queen of social media”, Bonang Matheba, is joining SABC3’s Top Billing as a presenter.

Matheba, who has been in the entertainment industry since she was 15, can be seen on the lifestyle programme at 8 pm from Tuesday, December 11.

She joins presenters Jeannie D, Jo-Ann Strauss, Lorna Maseko, Janez Vermeiren, Ursula Chikane and Top Billing presenter winners Simba Mhere and Jonathan Boynton-Lee.

Matheba has scooped a host of fashion, glamour and style awards, and appeared on the covers of national and international magazines.

Currently the face of local design powerhouse Gert Johan Coetzee’s fashion label, she is, says executive producer Basetsana Kumalo, “synonymous with the kind of sophisticated elegance and effortless glamour that Top Billing has been championing since its inception”.

“Bonang represents true South African talent with her unique brand essence that captivates audiences.

“She is a refreshing, relevant and inspiring young woman, who exudes warmth, grace and charm.

“She will bring her own signature to the show and it’s a pleasure to welcome her to the Top Billing family,” Kumalo added.
