2011-03-22 00:00

POLICE are investigating a murder after a 27-year-old man was stabbed to death yesterday afternoon in an apparent argument over a woman.

Nkosinathi Nxele is alleged to have been drinking at a friend’s house at Imbali Unit 2 with another friend when the host accused Nxele of making advances to his girlfriend. Nxele denied the accusation.

The host locked the door and allegedly stabbed Nxele repeatedly with a knife.

The third man managed to escape and the police were called.

When the police arrived at the house the suspect, whose name is known to The Witness, had vanished.

Police spokesperson Warrant Officer Joey Jeevan confirmed the incident and said Nxele sustained several stab wounds to the chest.

No arrests were made and a murder case was opened. — Witness Reporter.
