Stabbing: man killed by DVD tout

2009-11-24 00:00

A NORTHDALE man, Mark Peters, was killed at the weekend after an argument with a man selling DVDs door-to-door.

Police said the man, whom the family know, got into an argument with Peters, who was at home with his mother at the time.

The man left, but returned a short while later and allegedly fought with Peters, stabbing him in the neck.

Peters was taken to Northdale Hospital, but was dead on arrival.

Police searched for the suspect and tracked him down to a nearby house. He was found in possession of a knife, which is believed to have been used in the stabbing.

The 19-year-old suspect is in custody and will appear in court shortly.
