Stage set for 12th annual Diwali festival

THE stage is set and it’s all systems go for the 12th annual Diwali festival at which Broken Promises fans can meet their favourite actors.

The event, organised by the Port Shepstone Hindu Cultural Federation, takes place tomorrow at the Marburg Sports Complex from 4 pm.

This year’s attractions include Lotus FM’s deejay Sagren Naidoo, the Broken Promises cast, Eastern song and dance, loads of stalls and a fireworks display.

The cast of Broken Promises 3 will perform and DVDs will be handed out. The characters — Amsugi, Saras, Reuben­, Bommi and director Kumaran Naidu — will make an appearance at the show.

A float procession will take place from 9 am from the Dick King parking lot to the Port Shepstone Civic Centre. Lunch will be served at noon. Entry to the grounds is free.
