Standard continue their good form

STANDARD continued with their good form in the KZN Inland Premier Cricket League when they beat Masibemunye by six wickets in their game played at the weekend.

Standard restricted their opponents to 165-6 after their 50 overs, with former KZN Inland skipper Kyle Nipper finishing with figures of 2/30, and Marcel Frenzel getting 2/28. Monde Ztshiza put 44 runs on the board for Masibemunye.

The undefeated log leaders then reached the target with just over five overs to spare, with a score of 165-4. Dradley Moses contributed a score of 44 not out, while Nipper continued his good work and played a handy innings of 32 not out.

The pick of the bowlers for Masibemunye was Stiso Mbili, who finished with tidy figures of 2/18.

Zingari vs Varsity

Zingari 118 all out from 30 overs.

(Batting: Landon Brown 51*, Tyler Lortan 42. Bowling: Richard Hlela 3-22, Warren Humphries 2-13, Kivi Mohanlal 2-15, Cyril Mthinkhulu 2-17).
