ISIBAYA fans will need to get up bright and early on August 31 to catch a glimpse of some of their favourite characters.

Siyabonga Twala, who plays Mpiyakhe Zungu, and Jessica Nkosi, who stars as Qondi, will be taking part in this year’s Mandela Day Marathon.

Joining them in the 46664 VIP race will be TV personality, actress and fashionista Minenhle Dlamini, who co-hosted Mzansi Insider, and starred in The Wild and in the Mzansi Magic drama series Rockville.

The 46664 VIP race starts at Midmar Dam in Howick and finishes at the Nelson Mandela Capture Site.

The three stars are among the thousands of walkers and runners participating in the Mandela Day marathon, half marathon and 10km run on August 31.

The 42,2km starts at the Manaye Hall in Imbali at 7 am and there is a six-hour cut-off.

The 21,1km starts at the marathon halfway mark in Hilliary Road, Hilton at 6.45 am; and the 10 km starts at the Howick Stadium at 6.30 am. All the races finish at the Capture Site.
