Strike: business as usual for Clicks

2011-11-24 00:00

RETAIL group Clicks said yesterday that its stores will trade as normal during a planned strike by the South African Commercial, Catering and Allied Workers’ Union (Saccawu) next week.

The strike was initiated following the failure of five months of wage negotiations.

“Clicks has yet to receive official notification of the strike by Saccawu, but management believes there will be minimal impact on trading and customer service as contingency plans are in place and additional temporary employees have been recruited for this peak trading period,” the company told The Witness yesterday.
