Stylez pays his home town a visit

2008-09-12 00:00

Siyanda “Stylez” Khoza has been working hard for the past few years without making any noise about it. His actions have done all the talking. He has worked with Hip Hop Pantsula, Amu, MXO and others. Stylez’s song Usual Suspects is currently in heavy rotation on yfm, while his highly anticipated, not yet titled album is being finalised.

On September 19 he is at Monaco in Melville, with big names Hoodlum, DJ Dollar, Black and beatboxer Blast. On September 25 at 10 pm, he defends his YFM Hip-Hop Marathon title with the newly christened Team Mugabe — the group has been winning since July and, in Stylez’s words, “are not going anywhere, just like Mugabe”.

The last time he was in Pietermaritzburg, he performed at the Varsity College Fashion event on August 16. Catch him in his home town with his Rhyme Pedigree cohorts Tha Playmaka, Nash and Mylowe as they perform in the Hip-Hop Heritage Tour’s Pietermaritzburg leg on September 27.
