2008-05-15 00:00

Cape Town surfer Matt Bromley rides his way to a perfect 10 — and a spot in today’s semi-finals — on the opening day of the Lizzard Nando’s Surf Pro, presented by Weekend Witness.

With a total of $5 000 up for grabs in this junior division, Bromley was the first to signal his intent with a perfect ride in his first heat.

He also posted the highest heat score in the round of 32 with a 16.25 out of a possible 20. Today the one-star ASP WQS Men’s division starts.

The Surfing South Africa Pro Surf Tour 2A-rated women’s division will start tomorrow, and will be completed along with the men’s open division on Sunday.
