Survivors look for public votes

2011-05-21 00:00

MONEY or even the prospect of it can bring out the worst in people — and the final two Survivors revealed this and more yesterday, as they battled it out at Gateway, Durban in the run-up to the grand finale of the M-Net reality series, Survivor.

After 27 days in the desolate Maldives, Hykie Berg and Letshogo Mpshoeu competed in several “fun” activities — but beneath the jovial exteriors, it was all about R1 million.

Berg, best known for his role as Darius du Buisson in Egoli , said that he was disappointed in a few of the competitors who blatantly lied and schemed — convincingly.

Mpshoeu, a fitness fanatic who is involved in a charity initiative, won two out of the three events yesterday, showing just why she survived as long as she did in the game.

The two will be looking for the public’s vote across the country, as the viewers of the show will play the role of the 11th jury member. The winner will be revealed on Thursday, May 26 at 7.30 pm.
