Local audiences will once again have the opportunity to experience the magnificence of a full symphony orchestra in concert at 7.30 pm. The performance, presented by Parklane Superspar in association with the KwaZulu-Natal Philharmonic Orchestra, features the professional orchestra playing dance and ballet music. The concert is conducted by Russian-born Naum Rousine with piano soloist Christopher Duigan. Tickets from R80 to R160 are available from Parklane SuperSpar (phone 033 342 3487) and include discounts for pensioners, schoolchildren and students. Parking is secure and patrolled in the city hall, Tatham Art Gallery and Bessie Head Library precincts. The organisers point out that there will be dancing by the performers and the audience.
