TAC: Imbali, Dambuza to get branches

TREATMENT Action Campaign (TAC) in partnership with the National Education, Health and Allied Workers’ Union (Nehawu) in Pietermaritzburg region is set to launch two branches in Dambuza and Imbali townships.

This is part of their mobilisation campaign in the build-up to World Aids Day tomorrow, which is celebrated each year on December 1, and 16 dDays of Activism. The launch will be held on Thursday.

The South African Communist Party (SACP) will also join the campaign which will commence in Masukwana Street and proceed to Market Square.

A spokesperson for the TAC, Zonke Ndlovu, said the reason for choosing these areas is that they are the worst affected. “The living conditions in these areas are very poor. We want to raise awareness …”
