Taxis: over-the-limit drivers bust

TWO taxi drivers doing far over the speed limit of 100 km/h were arrested at the weekend. One of them was drunk.

Yesterday morning, the driver of a minibus taxi was arrested near Hibberdine travelling at 138 km/h.

On Saturday, a taxi driver was arrested for travelling at 157 km/h on the N2 northbound near Ellingham, and will appear in court today on charges of speeding and drinking and driving.

On Saturday afternoon, a car travelling at 202 km/h was trapped along the N2 southbound near Mtunzini.
