Technology: A fun way to teach young people

2008-03-06 00:00

Actor Damian Collins performs in a show sponsored by Mark Shuttleworth entitled Hip2BSquare at St John’s DSG yesterday. The show illustrates why maths, science and technology are important. Collins acts as Alexander Graham Bell, the inventor of the telephone, who is transported into the future. Bell, like the pupils, is unaware of the advances that have been made with the use of technology, maths and science and gradually learns that with dedication and passion for making transport, electricity and other technology more efficient, pupils too can make a difference to our ever-changing society. Hip2BSquare will be shown to pupils all over the country.
