Theft: police seek assistance in identifying men in the photos

2013-01-03 00:00

HOWICK police are looking for assistance in identifying the two men in the photos above, who might be able to assist them in their investigations into the theft of motor vehicles in the area, which has spiralled out of control in the past few months.

Since May last year, police said, a total of seven vehicles had been stolen from different homes.

“At least seven vehicles, including bakkies, have been stolen,” said Howick police spokesperson Captain Lolly Moodley.

He said many of the cars were stolen after criminals had poisoned the families’ dogs.

Moodley declined to give more information about the thefts and would only say that the two men might have information that could help the police deal with the thefts.

He said colours who might have information about the men or the thefts should contact Detective Warrant Officer Klaasen at 082 7250 920. Callers who wish to remain anonymous should phone Crime Stop at 08600 10111.
