Three hurt in Westville crash

2013-08-28 00:00

A PUPIL is in a critical condition, and two others seriously injured, after an accident on Dunkeld Road, Westville, yesterday morning.

Durban metro police said all the passengers in the Isuzu bakkie and VW car that collided were transported to St Augustine’s and R.K. Khan hospitals.

According to Chris Botha of Netcare 911, the driver of the bakkie is in a serious condition, while the driver of the car escaped with minor injuries.

“A 15-year-old schoolboy on his way to school sustained very critical injuries — he was a rear passenger in a VW. There were four workers on the bakkie that sustained injuries. One of them was in a serious condition,” he said.
