Three men lead police to missing boy's head

Police said the boy was killed for muthi purposes.

The child went missing from his home on November 2. Police spokesman Superintendent Muzi Mngomezulu said the boy's mutilated body was found the day after he went missing in the Ndunduma area. “His grandmother identified the boy by the clothes he was wearing. His head and his private parts were missing.”

At the weekend, police arrested three men aged between 30 and 40 and one of them led the police to the deserted house where the boy's head was hidden. It has been reported that the house previously belonged to IFP leader Mhlahlo Mlotshwa, but it is not clear if he ever lived in this house, as he owned many properties and rented some out.

It is believed the suspects in this case lived in the deserted house. They are expected to appear in the Pinetown Magistrate's Court on charges of murder and for contravening the Human Tissues Act. An additional charge of withholding information has been laid against one of the suspects.
