2011-03-18 00:00

INTERNATIONAL authors attending the upcoming Time of the Writer Festival will also be visiting local schools. The festival coordinators, the Centre for Creative Arts, have partnered up with Read SA in a campaign which promotes South African literature. Writers will be visiting and donating books to schools in an attempt to encourage children to read.

The festival runs until Saturday, March 19. As well as workshops and school visits, there are evening sessions at 7.30 pm at the Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre on the Durban campus of the University of KZN where there will be live music, book launches and the participating writers will be discussing various topics.

Tickets are R25 (R10 students) from Computicket, or at the door from 6.30 pm. For the full programme, visit www.cca.ukzn.ac.za or phone the CCA at 031 260 2506/1816
