Top 20/20 scorers announces

THE 10 top 20/20 scorers from the men’s squad practice on August 30 were, in order of skills: M. Hattingh. B. Robinson, H. Lightfoot, L. Coleman, S. Siebert, G. Voller, B. Ainsley, T. McCalgan­, J. Allan and K. Williams.

All scores submitted must be countersigned. These scores will be submitted to Bowls South Africa.

The talent identification exercises, including 20/20, are open to all bowlers at all clubs. The Niba office anticipates receiving bowlers’ scores. This is an ongoing activity of the Niba Bowls Academy.

The 2011 quadrangular and inter-district sides were announced at the annual general meeting of Niba held on Saturday at Maritzburg Bowling Club. All clubs will be notified of the men’s and women’s sides.

All managers of the respective sides must arrange for regular practice sessions. The coaches’ standing committee members are willing to assist managers and sides as required.

On Saturday we will be starting bowls earlier to enable players to watch the Currie Cup final. Get tabs in by 1 pm.

As per the e-mail that was sent out last week, the bowls fun morning will be held on November 7, am only. If you are unable to play on this new date, advise Colin urgently. Remember a bring and braai will follow after bowls. This bowls fun morning is being sponsored by Argyle Arms Hotel in Mooi River.
