Two held for rape, cops give warning

2012-11-27 00:00

THREE Mtubatuba women were allegedly raped this past weekend, with the latest attack being reported yesterday morning.

Two men have been arrested in connection with the three cases.

Police spokesperson Captain Jabulani Mdletshe warned women, as the holiday season is here, to keep safe at all times.

“There are women who go to taverns, bars and clubs and expect men to buy them alcohol.

“After buying the drinks the men feel entitled to the women. This often results in rape.

“We advise [people], especially women, to enjoy themselves at home during the festive season. If you want to have a good time, have it at home, not at the tavern,” said Mdletshe.
