2009-11-27 00:00

KZN Inland U19 dismissed Griqualand West U19 for 220 on the first day of the three-day match at the Maritzburg Oval yesterday, writes JONATHAN COOK.

However, Inland suffered a setback when opening batsman Andile Dlamini was trapped lbw by Griquas’ Zandre Swartz to leave the home side three for one when bad light brought play to a close after just 64 overs in the day.

Griquas opener Gihahn Cloete was out leg-before for 98 to Inland’s best bowler Nathan Roberts, who captured four for 51.

Griquas first innings 220 (G Cloete 98, RJ van Rensburg 30; N Roberts 4-51, C Savage 2-44, M Hulett 2-60). Inland U19 first innings 3 for 1.
