U19: England leave SA after disappointing whitewash in one-day series

2013-02-25 00:00

ENGLAND U19 have left the shores of South Africa after receiving a whitewash in the five ODI and drawing the two-Test series 1-1. The England attack was affected by their star fast bowler, Oliver Stone, being ruled out of most of the matches.

South Africa U19 played very well to win the ODI series 5-0 with the last match, on Thursday last week, being the most emphatic.

The two KZN Inland players in the team were Daryn Dupavillon who left Maritzburg College at the end of last year and Greg Oldfield, in his final year at Michaelhouse. Dupavillon only played in two of the games, but made an impact being the most economical with four wickets for 76 runs in his 20 overs.
