2009-11-03 00:00

THE KwaZulu-Natal water polo teams printed last week did not include the U19 teams as their selections, done on Sunday last week, were unavailable for The Witness School Sports page last Tuesday.

The team is now available and as expected, is dominated by Durban players. They travel to Gauteng in December to participate in the South African Schools’ tournament.

The U19A team has seven players from Clifton and there are a further two Clifton boys in the U19B.

Durban High School (DHS), Thomas More, Westville and Kearsney each have one player represented in the A side. In the B team there are three DHS players, two from Thomas More and one each from Kearsney, Westville and Kloof.

There are just four players from Midlands schools, with two Maritzburg College players in the A team and another College boy in the B team, who is joined by one Michaelhouse player.

The junior teams printed last week sees a better representation from the midlands with nine in the U16, eight in the U15 and 13 in the U14. These are mainly from College and Hilton.
