Van Wyk’s vitaminzzz has readers smiling

2011-03-17 00:00

Vitaminzzz. That’s what South African wicketkeeper Morné van Wyk took before the match against India. The sleeping pill which he confused for his vitamins could have cost the Proteas the game, as Van Wyk dropped three catches and made only five runs.

Online Witness readers responded with their own puns and jokes over the incident.

“Oh heck hey, not being sharp extends to beyond the field then?” quipped Andre Struwig.

“How did the story get out? WicketLeaks?” quipped Craig Morris.
